In the middle of a loud, lively weekend, I found myself searching for something quieter. Behind our lakehouse cabin in Ludington, Michigan, I discovered a small, unnoticed corner of stillness. I didn’t know how much I needed it until I took the photos—images I’ve returned to again and again, long after the noise faded.

I wrote SUPERMASSIVE during one of the hardest times in my life—while caring for my dog, Remus, as he was fading. The album came together quickly, like a wave I had to ride. It’s about him, about love and grief, and all the things we carry when we lose those we love.
